Features & Benefits: New 330 & 730 Series I.V. House UltraDressing Fabric
Intravenous (IV) catheters, known as “IV lines,” are essential for patient care. But in order to be effective, IV lines need to be securely in place and checked regularly. How do you keep patients, especially infants and children, from bumping and potentially dislodging an IV line?
The new version of our award-winning products, the 330 Series and 730 Series I.V. House® UltraDressings, help protect and stabilize the IV insertion site. Like all I.V. House products, the I.V. House UltraDressing series was designed with patient safety and comfort in mind.

I.V. House UltraDressing: Top 4 Benefits of Our I.V. Site Protector
1. Improved Visibility and Easier Monitoring of I.V. Site
The I.V. House UltraDressing provides improved visibility of IV insertion sites, making monitoring easier for nurses and other healthcare staff. This helps nurses detect common IV insertion site injuries, such as infiltration and extravasation. Early detection is essential to prevent significant harm to patients.
Every I.V. House product—including our I.V. House UltraDressing line—is specifically designed to enable nurses to assess IV insertion sites and the surrounding area faster and easier. This helps nurses catch signs of complications sooner, and it helps patients heal faster and more comfortably.
2. No Over-Taping
Both the 330 and 730 Series I.V. House UltraDressings feature an adjustable Velcro® closure, which can be opened, adjusted and resealed. This eliminates the need for over-taping, preventing damage to fragile skin. This helps simplify the IV dressing application process by enabling nurses to apply, change and remove IV dressing with minimal discomfort for the patient.
I.V. House has updated the fabric to make it more comfortable for both adult and pediatric patients. Fabrifoam SuperWrap® features a knitted blend of nylon and lycra with a patented inner layer of foam, allowing for a high degree of multi-directional elasticity. The permanently attached Velcro keeps the SuperWrap in place. This makes it the perfect IV site protection device for all patients, especially those with sensitive skin.
3. Increased IV Protection
Our 330 and 730 Series I.V. House UltraDressings protect patients by covering the IV insertion site, to keep the IV catheter from moving. The increased protection prevents injury and patient harm by securing the IV in place and ensuring the IV line remains comfortable for the patient.
To accomplish this, the I.V. House UltraDressing utilizes the adjustable Velcro closure and eliminates any exposed loops of tubing, which are a primary cause of IV line dislodgement. The increased protection also helps maximize dwell time and minimize the need for reinsertions of the IV line, which can be painful and traumatic for patients.
4. Customizable Fit and Placement
Every patient is unique, which means IV site protectors need to adjust to a patient’s age, size, and where the IV line is placed. Fortunately, I.V. House took these needs into account when designing the I.V. House UltraDressing series.
Our team created the 330 Series I.V. House UltraDressing to provide protection for the tiniest patients, from neonates to infants. The 330 Series product is available in two sizes to fit newborns ranging from low to average birth weights, allowing the device to be used on the hand, forearm, foot, ankle or other peripheral IV.
The 730 Series I.V. House UltraDressing is tailored to provide protection for a wide range of patients, from infants to adults. The 730 Series’ universal design guarantees it can fit both hand and arm IV insertion sites, and it is intended for use with our ergonomic armboard, the TLC® Splint.
